We are delighted to note that the Geological Survey of Estonia has year by year become increasingly popular among our students as a potential place of training. The application period for this summer’s traineeships at the Geological Survey ended on 31 March, and we received altogether 23 applications.

The majority of applicants were BSc students in geology and environmental technology at the Tartu University. However, we received applications also from students of other Earth science disciplines, including physics, geography and mineral resources.
Despite the current challenging times, our wish is to be able to provide traineeships to young people at the Geological Survey of Estonia as planned. We are going ahead with the selection procedure. If everything gets sorted out and the working schedule normalizes by the summer, we wish to deliver impressions by the traineeship students.
