First-year students of geology and environmental technology at the Tartu University visited the geological survey on 6 December 2019.
The students got a good opportunity to become closer acquainted with drilling operations taking place within our Jõhvi exploration area. EGT geologist Siim Nirgi gave the young geologists an overview of the geological background of the Jõhvi magnetic anomaly and presented ongoing drilling operations. Project geologist Hardi Aosaar from the Engineering Bureau Steiger provided the students an overview on drilling technologies.
